MAUREEN McDANIELL

B.Ed. | Registered Teacher | Sounds-Write Trainer

Maureen is a registered teacher dedicated to reversing declining literacy standards. In 2011, she specialized in foundational literacy intervention to give primary students their best chance at academic success.

Frustrated by the slow, marginal results of traditional programs, Maureen sought a more powerful solution. In 2013, she graduated from Western Australia’s very first Sounds-Write training with founder John Walker.

Today, Maureen brings a deep, practical understanding of the literacy challenges facing both teachers and parents. She provides expert post-training coaching to schools and individual educators.

HELEN HAMPTON

Specialist Intervention Tutor | Sounds-Write Trainer

Helen is a Specialist Intervention Tutor and Sounds-Write Trainer based in Margaret River. Her passion for linguistic phonics began fifteen years ago while supporting her severely dyslexic daughter.

Recognising a critical gap in local specialist support, Helen launched a dedicated tutoring service in 2011 to help struggling primary and secondary students master literacy.

After training with founder John Walker in Perth in 2013, Helen integrated Sounds-Write into her weekly practice with outstanding success. Today, she delivers Sounds-Write courses across the South West and remote regional Western Australia, while providing expert post-training coaching to schools and educators.
